Student Voice

Student VOICE (Voicing Opinions to Initiate Change Everywhere) is a diverse group of students from all four grade levels that meet to discuss topics and issues of equity and diversity in their building and in their lives. They meet once a month with the three other high schools to create and receive professional development around equity and social justice with the goal of addressing inequities and sharing their stories. This year, they are working on professional development for all staff around the district based on their culturally responsive curriculum guide that they just completed last year.  They will also be creating a student climate survey to collect data to determine themes around any equity issues around the district/school.
