Student VOICE (Voicing Opinions to Initiate Change Everywhere) is a diverse group of students from all four grade levels that meet to discuss topics and issues of equity and diversity in their building and in their lives. They meet once a month with the three other high schools to create and receive professional development around equity and social justice with the goal of addressing inequities and sharing their stories. This year, they are working on a culturally responsive curriculum guide for teachers that will be completed by the end of the school year to present to staff around the district. They also will be presenting at staff meetings and statewide conferences throughout the year.
