Autism Support
The Autism Support Program serves students with high-functioning autism, or Asperger's Syndrome, who have average to above average IQ, and are academically capable of understanding grade level content.
Students who receive services through this program typically participate in a Social/ Communication Skills support group in the morning and a Study Skills class at the end of the day. During the rest of the day the students are enrolled in general education classes and may receive support from educational assistants (EA's) as needed. The students also have the option of using the autism support classroom throughout the day to work on assignments and tests in a quiet, less distracting environment, and to take breaks as needed when stressful situations arise.
