I have been teaching Child Development since 1993 here at Thurston High School in the preschool program. It’s very rewarding to witness the diversity of careers that have blossomed from this program.

Tech Prep Intern Preschool Course 29651: Preschool Programs 3 to 6 years.

The Child Development Lab Site is fully licensed by the State of Oregon and the quality of the program is monitored by Thurston High School and Springfield School District.

As part of the educational program, the center provides a lab site for high school students enrolled in the child development program as well as a work experience site for high school students.

The high school student has the opportunity to work and learn on a practical level, the principles taught in the Child Development classes.

High school student work under the direct supervision of the professional staff in the Child Development Center. Students enrich the program with their warmth and enthusiasm, and provide and excellent adult-child ratio, which insure individual attention for each child.

The Child Development Center is located at 332 58th Street, across from Thurston High School.
