It’s concert week for THS Choirs! Tomorrow evening, the POPS Concert will include all five choirs, many student-led ensembles, and senior solos. And on Friday evening, High Energy will present its Year-In-Revue concert, which will include the Jazz Solo Project! Both concerts start at 7:30pm, and both are free.

GSA is meeting today in the computer lab conference room.  We will be discussing end of the year activities and ideas for next year.  Please come join us, allies are always welcome!

Attention all National Honor Society Members. We have one last end of the year meeting this Friday. See you at Lunch in the Library.

If you’re interested in being a class rep for the leadership program, please pick up a yellow, class rep packet from the main office. Forms are due Monday, May 29th to Mr Canaga in room 146!

Want the “Perfect” Parking spot for NEXT year? ANYONE with a driver’s license can register for the “perfect” spot.  $30 with paperwork will get you that spot! (see student services)

Yearbooks will be available for pick up on Tuesday, May 30, at 3:05, immediately after seventh period in the courtyard. If you haven’t purchased a yearbook yet, you can purchase one then, on a first-come, first-serve basis. They will cost $65, payable with either cash or check. We will NOT be set up for taking payments with credit or debit cards.

The Boys Track Team finished 15th at State Meet this weekend.   Nathan Wirth was 3rd in pole vault and Tyson Haas was 3rd in High Jump at 6’4″. Frosh Jaydan Gray 6th in Javelin,, Josh McCluskey 8th in 400 and 400 meter relay team of Tanner Gormley, Isaac Lange, Josh McCluskey and Ben Annus finished 5th.

The Girls Track Team finished in 9th place led by Tara Crosswhite’s State Championship and new school record in 300 meter hurdles and 3rd in 100 meter hurdles.  Shay Vanderville was 6th in pole vault and mile relay of Anya Gallup, Jaelynn Birkby, Rhianna Brown and Tara Crosswhite finished fourth.

Thurston’s E-car racing team completed on Sat in their last even held at Valley River Center.  The team had GREAT success.  Finishing 1st thru 6th.

Also, for the 2nd year the state and regional champion is a THS Team!  Car 152 built by Melissa Reeves and Jenna Gray and driven by Coltin Rosin is the 2017 State Champion.  Thurston Cars also finished 2nd and 3rd in the state.

Are you interested in being a hairdresser or nail technician? Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School will be here on Wednesday May 23rd at 9:40am sign up at the college and career center.

Are you a young woman interested in learning what firefighting is all about? Eugene Springfield Fire is hosting a free fire cam for high school aged young women in July. Stop by Career center for an application.

Seniors if you received your award letter from colleges, bring a copy to Mrs. Wytcherley in the career center and receive a chocolate bar!

Seniors its also time for you to make a decision on the school you are attending. If you need help with housing application or signing up for orientation, make sure to stop by the career center.
