Lacrosse - Boys
Boys lacrosse was established at Thurston in 2003 with a junior varsity program. Both jv and varsity teams have been fielded since the 2004 season. Thurston's team has steadily progressed and is now considered a powerhouse in a league that includes Churchill, Thurston, Sheldon, Roseburg, Marist, South Eugene, and North Eugene. The Colts have made the state playoffs in each of the past two seasons, losing in the first round to Lake Oswego in 2007, and Jesuit in 2008. In 2008 the team finished second in league and had nine players earn all-league honors, five of whom are set to return. Our goal is to continue to improve to the point of being one of the top programs in the state.
