Fine Arts
Thurston High School’s Fine Arts Department offers a full range of opportunities for students to develop as creative, expressive artists and informed audience members. In the Visual Arts: Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Design, Electronic Media and Video; in the Performing Arts: Theater, Choir, Band, and Orchestra. Thurston’s Fine Arts classes focus on the technical skills necessary to produce pieces of art, while also focusing on the aesthetic quality of art, as a mirror for the human experience and our society as a whole. Thurston’s Fine Arts Staff is a talented group of professionals, each a specialist in the arts, intent on sharing their expertise with THS students.
