Thurston High senior Eryn Reeder is a semifinalist in this year’s National Merit Scholarship program, based on her 2015 PSAT score ranking her in the top 1% of high school seniors who took the test. To become a finalist, semifinalists must submit a scholarship application outlining their participation in school and community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities, employment, honors and awards. From the approximately 16,0000 semifinalists nationwide, about 15,000 are expected to advance to finalist level next spring. Every finalist will compete for one of 2500 National Merit Scholarships of $2500. Well done, Eryn!
